the other day i was hanging out with my 16 year old sister.
thoughts were racing through my head about how i needed to get the wet carpet out of the basement, finish a paper, pay bills, write a resume, plan a wedding...etc.
then i look at my sister and she says, "i wonder what color i should paint my toenails?"

ah, to be young and have few worries.

do worries keep growing as you get older?
i sure hope not.
i have all that i can handle right now.

oh heavenly day.

i saw patty griffin last night in lawrence.
and even though i was totally sick -
it was INCREDIBLE.

she is so beautiful and fun and giirrrll can she sing.
she sang with buddy miller,
who was also so darn great.

the whole night was fantastic.
a dream come true, sincerely.
